Physical Layer Security for NOMA Transmission in mmWave Drone Networks

نویسندگان

چکیده

The non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) and millimeter-wave (mmWave) transmission enable the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) assisted wireless networks to provide broadband connectivity over densely packed urban areas. presence of malicious receivers, however, compromise security UAV-to-ground communications links, thereby degrading secrecy rates. In this work, we consider a NOMA-based strategy in mmWave UAV-assisted network, investigate respective secrecy-rate performance rigorously. particular, propose protected-zone approach enhance by preventing most vulnerable subregion (outside user region) from receivers. rates are then derived analytically as function particular protected zone, which verifies great rate improvements through optimizing shape zone use. Furthermore, show that optimal for links appears between protecting angle versus distance dimension, would otherwise form protect solely dimension sub-6 GHz links. We also numerically evaluate impact power, size, UAV altitude on improvement sake practical deployments.

Physical Layer Security in Wireless Communication Networks

Physical layer (PHY) security has become an emerging area of research recently. Wireless networks use unguided medium as communication channels, so gathering wireless data transmission is easier when compared to traditional cable systems. With the rise of new security challenges, many different solutions have been offered and are being developed. However, maintaining security in wireless networ...

Physical layer security in broadcast networks

This paper reviews the information theoretic characterization of security in broadcast channels, in which a transmitter has both public and confidential messages intended for multiple receivers. All messages must be successfully received by their intended receivers, and the confidential messages must be kept as secret as possible from non-intended recipients. Various scenarios are considered in...

Optimal Beamforming for Physical Layer Security in MISO Wireless Networks

A wireless network of multiple transmitter-user pairs overheard by an eavesdropper, where the transmitters are equipped with multiple antennas while the users and eavesdropper are equipped with a single antenna, is considered. At different levels of wireless channel knowledge, the problem of interest is beamforming to optimize the users’ quality-of-service (QoS) in terms of their secrecy throug...

Uplink NOMA in Large-Scale Systems: Coverage and Physical Layer Security

In this paper, the physical layer security of uplink non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) in large-scale networks is analyzed. An stochastic geometry approach is applied to derive new analytical expressions for the coverage probability and the effective secrecy throughput (EST) of the kth NOMA user, which may use a fixed or an adaptive transmission rate. We consider a protected zone around the...
